Silent Embrace

shudder like anger
parody of fatigue
feel the tear try to fall

lonely amongst friends
cold in the warmth
longing for what

for faliure to not be
not to invite me
down these steps to despair

and the deadness the numbness
falls black over me
and i accept its silent embrace

for to think is to cry

The most recently written in this section. I can't actually remember now what 'faliure' I was so depressed about at the time, probably a faliure to be organised enough to remember something - which just goes to show how worked up I can get over stuff that doesn't really matter or even register a few months down the line. The general feeling is an unfortunately familiar one tho, especially the last line.
