Your people half-expect to see soul symbols on the brow of the monstrosities they sight next, as rumours filter back from the other end of the colony of a huge force of native demons; but no, these massive centipedes are natural creatures, or as natural as the wildlife gets in this place. They make sounds like laughter and scuttle playfully, but they appear to be co-operating with the remaining myrmidons in the area.

That cannot be allowed. Rising Phoenix marches out and with great horror and distaste pierces their wriggling carapaces until they cease to move. They half-heartedly attempt to defend themselves, but mostly they attempt to engage the troops with their tails, swimming in and out of the ground as if it is their natural element, laughing all the while; a sound which will haunt your people's dreams, although their solidarity keeps them from madness.

And their shields keep them from discovering just how poisonous the great barb on the end of the massive tails might be.

Three of the five are hacked into disgusting, writhing pieces. The other two centipedes get far enough from the walls that pursuit would be foolhardy.

You eventually manage to relocate two of your giant centipedes from Centipede Unit 002, but someone has stabbed the other three to death with knives.

You hear that five hideous giant centipedes arrived at Peace Plain of Salvation; the creatures are incredibly unpleasant and they die just as unpleasantly. After stabbing three of them to death with knives, Rising Phoenix were left retching their guts out on the empty soil as the other two scuttled back the way they came.
