Attackers Report:

As you pass through Campbelltown, you come across a large band of plantation slaves who have been freed here by the Chamber of Delights, and are busily making the place their own.

You exhort them to come away further south with your men; most of them simply ignore you, but a handful grab improvised weapons and attempt to drive you from the town, as a representative of those that have oppressed them for so long.

The untrained slaves are no match for your skill, and you attempt to explain this while cutting them down; eventually they are sufficiently impressed by your martial prowess that they stand down and allow you to treat their injured. You cannot get to everyone, however, and six of the slaves bleed to death before you can heal them.

After such a display, you are treated with new respect - or fear, at least - and they assure you that they will seriously consider your message. As you leave, they are already packing up what belongings they have put together and making ready to head to the interior.

Local Report:

As Alfred Sunstar passes through Campbelltown, he comes across a large band of plantation slaves who have been freed here by the Chamber of Delights, and are busily making the place their own.

He tries to give his usual speech, but a handful of the slaves grab improvised weapons and attempt to drive him from the town, declaring that he is one with those who have oppressed them for so long.

The untrained slaves are no match for his skill; eventually they realise that this is a losing fight. Very graciously, he offers to treat their injured; thus only six of the twenty or so that he fought die of their wounds.

After this display, he is treated with new respect - or fear, at least - and the slaves assure him that they will seriously consider his message. Unusually, quite a few of them actually do so, packing up what belongings they have put together and making ready to head to the interior.
